Travel Back in Time at the Tennessee Renaissance Fair

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to throw axes at a wooden shield? Participate in a jousting tournament? Walk through a castle? Then head to the Annual Tennessee Renaissance Festival in Arrington, TN! It's opening weekend has passed, but there are still many chances to experience the magic of the Renaissance era.

The fair is set in 16th century England with the village of Covington surrounding the beautiful, authentic castle built by the owner and his wife. Artisans, musicians, and people of all varieties gather from around the country to display their crafts, wares, and perform music and plays.

Two years ago, I went as a monk, and last year as a scurvy, sea-faring pirate! It's family friendly with activities for kids (and adults!) of all ages. Whether you're a fan of olden times or not, it's sure to be a memorable adventure.
